Description
MW 338.32 g/mol. Fluorogenic substrate of beta-glucosidase and beta-glucocerebrosidase also known as glucosylceramidase . Used for characterizing novel beta-glucosidases. Also used in assays to evaluate deficiency in beta-glucocerebrosidase activity related to Gaucher disease. Hydrolysis releases the fluorescent product 4-MU.
