MockVRVLP Inactivation Kit

Description

During the downstream purification of biologics, potential viral contaminants are cleared and inactivated by low pH treatment or exposure to chemical inactivation agents such as organic solvents or detergents. These chemical inactivation agents serve to disrupt or solubilize the lipid bilayer of enveloped viruses, causing the viral envelope to break apart and/or denature viral proteins. This treatment ultimately leads to the loss of infectivity, as measured by plaque-based assays. The MockV RVLP Inactivation kit enables the quantification of CHO-endogenous Retrovirus Like Particles non-infectious enveloped particles that have been subjected to a chemical inactivation agent such as a solvent or detergent. It is intended to be used in conjunction with Cygnus MockV RVLP Kit M230 or the MockV RNA Extraction Kit M100 and the MockV RVLP qPCR Kit M105 . Similar to the MockV RVLP Kit, the MockV RVLP Inactivation Kit enables incorporation of viral clearance studies early into process development/optimization experiments.
