Aniline sulphate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. This compound is derived from aniline, which is a prototypical aromatic amine, containing a phenyl group attached to an amino group. The reagent is available as a powder which is soluble in water. While it is stable under general conditions, it is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Aniline sulphate can be generated by heating aniline with sulphuric acid. It is toxic by inhalation, ingestion and skin contact and must be handled safely. Cotton, linen, and hemp turn the solution brown. A pink color is a positive reaction for the presence of esparto grass. It has also been used as an internal standard in the stereoselective disposition of methamphetamine, a widely abused drug. This reagent is suitable for industrial synthesis of products and research applications.
